NOTICE OF INTENDED MARRIAGE FORM (NOIM)
This form can be downloaded from the Attorney General's Website I can also email you a pdf copy for you to print out.
The NOIM needs to be completed up to 18 months prior to the marriage but no later than one month and one day prior to the wedding ceremony. At the first meeting full birth certificates are to be produced for verification. If either parties have been married before I will need to see the original divorce papers.
DECLARATIONS
This is the declaration on the back of the Certificate of Marriage, it will be completed at a pre-wedding meeting one week prior to the marriage, and needs to be signed by both parties.
CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE
This is completed in duplicate in the presence of witnesses (both need to be over 18 years of age) at the ceremony. One is sent to the Births, Death & Marriages office after the ceremony and the other is kept in my Marriage Registry Book.
GOVERNMENT STAMPED CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE
A certified copy of the "Certificate of Marriage" can be applied for from the Perth office of Births, Deaths & Marriages after the ceremony. I can provide you with the paperwork for this or you can alternatively visit their website to download a copy. It is located at Births, Deaths & Marriages Perth (WA).
